In this class, educators will focus on their inner resources and the process involved in helping children and youth develop their greatness portfolios. Participants will review the 3 Stands™ of the NHA® and complementary practices to support relationships and community building. In addition to two seminar sessions (totaling 6 hours), in-person classroom visits/coaching sessions will be arranged at your school site.

- Review and implement appreciative coaching
- Facilitate activities that can be modified for use with students
- Visit/coach participants and provide feedback

VASD Nurturing Hearts Heroes - Parent Group
Join a monthly meeting for parents and other caregivers who have attended 4-6 hours of training in the
Verona Area School District. Sessions offer opportunities for participants to share successes and then focus on a predetermined topic. 2017-2018 dates TBD

2-Day Educator Workshop
Course Description: The Nurtured Heart Approach® is a set of core methodologies originally developed for working with the most difficult children. It has a proven impact on every child, including those who are challenged behaviorally, socially, and academically. It has been shown to create transformative changes in children diagnosed with ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, and other behavioral, emotional and anxiety-related symptoms-almost always without the need for long-term mental health treatment. NHA also holds promise for reducing disproportionate disciplinary data. In this two-day workshop, we will introduce you to the Three Stands® of NHA, teach you specific NHA techniques that provide guidance on how to inspire great behaviors, and add NHA rules and consequences tools to your toolbox.
