Today I had the opportunity to observe and listen as fourth grade students and their teacher worked on a Greek urn scratch art project. It was a joy to hear kids share their greatness: "I have strength, loyalty and patience..."
During this art history lesson, students were affirmed for qualities and behaviors that support learning as well as for their application of content objectives including pattern, line, symbol, symmetry, positive and negative space, etc. NHA® founder, Howard Glasser refers to alternating recognitions between behavior and content as "right foot left foot" teaching. Bravo, T. Christenson, for your attentiveness, encouragement, and nurturing.

Paula WickThe Thoughts from a Nurtured Heart blog includes ideas and perspectives encountered through intentional living. Posts include ideas that support NHA but are not necessarily explicit teachings of Howard Glasser. I've done my best to properly attribute ideas I borrow from others. Archives
